Y’all… we’ve cracked the code with these Spicy Pork Chops. So flavorful, so delicious and you guessed it… SOOO SIMPLE! They’re cooked in the Instant Pot and you only need 4 ingredients. Raise your hand if you sometimes fall into the trap of being a last-minute thinker when it comes to dinner plans. ✋🏼 This one right here is a game saver… you can pull the pork chops right out of the FREEZER and toss them in the Instant Pot. Voila!
Why-I-love-these Reason #1: They’re super easy // Reason #2: They are a versatile main course (think salads, or tail gating, or meal prepping) // Reason #3: They make for awesome leftovers! You can slice them thin and toss them over a nice bed of baby spinach and purple cabbage… or my husband’s favorite – you can cube it, toss it in the fridge til morning and spice up a morning omelet! We’ve found the best dinner setup for our family is the Spicy Pork Chops combo’d with our *Salted Honey Sweet Potato Fries* and a side of green beans.
Can I cook these pork chops fresh, not frozen?
Absolutely! The only thing you need to alter is the cook time. You will only need to set the time manually to 20 minutes! Easy!! The Instant Pot will take a lot less time to come to pressure when your meat isn’t frozen also.
Can you cook bone-in pork chops in the instant pot?
Yes! Just add 5-8 minutes per method (frozen or fresh). If your pork chop is around 3/4 inch thick, you can just add 5 minutes. If it’s thicker, go with an extra 8 minutes. A good rule of thumb is to make sure the internal temperature of pork is always at least 165 F.
Ingredients for our Spicy Pork Chops:
- Frozen Pork Chops
- Italian Dressing
- Brown Sugar
- Spicy Mustard
How to make our Spicy Pork Chops:
Take frozen pork chops out of their container. I always like to rinse them first, so do so and then place on top of the grate in your Instant Pot.
Mix all other ingredients together in a bowl.
Slowly pour over top of the pork chops. Close lid and make sure its sealed. Manually set to 28 minutes. Be sure the valve is set to seal. Once the timer goes off, release pressure.
Reserve the sauce at the base of the IP to drizzle over top of the pork chops when serving. Enjoy!
How easy was that? The best part is that you can throw these together in less than 5 minutes and walk away to get other things done! We easily pair these with our Simple Mac and Cheese, BBQ Sweet Potato Slices, or our Cauliflower Fried Rice. They are legit! But don’t take our word for it, try it out! Leave us a comment and tell us what you paired it with. The ideas are endless!
