Tangy, flavorful, and unique, our Most Delicious Steak Marinade is one you MUST try! The ingredients are common staples in most household pantries! The best part is that you can throw it together in under five minutes. Take your next steak from fine to fantastic with this amazing addition!

How long should steaks marinate?
First off, it’s important to know that marinades are more about flavor than tenderizing. For less tender cuts, they should be marinated for at least 6 hours, but no more than 24 hours. Tender cuts of beef, like a tenderloin, only need to be marinated for 15 minutes to 1 hour for maximum flavor.
Can you freeze steak in marinade?
Absolutely! Just combine your marinade ingredients in a zip-top freezer bag, add the raw meat, seal it, shake things around to fully coat the meat, and then place the bag in the freezer. The marinated meat will keep well there for up to three months.

Ingredients for the Most Delicious Steak Marinade:
- 1 1/2 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3/4 Cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 Cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 Cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 1/3 Cup Lemon Juice
- 2 TBS Dry Mustard
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 TBS Crushed Red Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Parsley
- 1 tsp Minced Onion
How to make our Most Delicious Steak Marinade:
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Once mixed, place steak in a bag and pour marinade over steak. Seal and let sit for at least 1 hour.

If time allows, we try to marinate over night to get the most out of the marinade.
Remove steak from refrigerator for 30-60 minutes before cooking according to your desired method.

There isn’t a whole lot better than a good steak sometimes. This marinade makes our steak nights so much more exciting and garner compliments every time its served. It’s so simple, even your husband can do it! 🙂

Hi there. I am new to cooking. What kinds of steaks do you use for this? I went to the store and there are so many different types of steaks, I didn’t know which one to pick. Can you help?
Absolutely! It can be overwhelming when faced with that decision! In this specific recipe, we went with a New York Strip. There are super fatty steaks like a rib-eye that have a lot of marbling which enhances the flavors. An example of a lean steak would be a filet, which is delicious also. The strip is right in the middle because it has some fat but not overly chewy and typically a good price point. Hope that helps!
Many thanks for your fantastic blog. It was actually very useful. I’m so glad I found this.
