Delicious brie topped with Homemade Cranberry Sauce, wrapped in a delicious puff pastry and baked to perfection. Our Baked Brie with Cranberry sauce takes less than 10 minutes to throw together and is a favorite appetizer at any gathering. Personalized with our homemade sauce, it’s perfectly festive this holiday season and insanely simple with only 5 ingredients!

I was cooking this year for Thanksgiving and decided to double my cranberry sauce recipe because it tends to go so fast. Thank goodness I did! My family was invited last minute to a holiday party and I panicked on what to bring. Luckily, I had plenty of cranberry sauce so I put it on some brie, wrapped it up, and sprinkled some yummy brown sugar on top. The combination was just oh-M-Geeee! Simple, delicious and baked so perfectly that I just had to share it here. This is a great recipe to double down on an ingredient you already made!
Do you take the rind off of the brie before baking?
You don’t have to! We like to quickly cut the top and bottom rind off to help the brie to melt. It is completely up to you! Try it both ways and see what you prefer!
What other ingredients go well with baked brie?
We really enjoy adding your favorite jam or jelly! Honey and walnuts or pecans are another one of our go-to brie recipes!
What kind of crackers should I serve with the Baked Brie?
We like to use cinnamon pita chips for this particular recipe, but whole grain crackers are always good, and nothing beats a thinly sliced pear or apple as well 🙂

Ingredients for our Baked Brie with Cranberry:
- Brie
- Cranberry Sauce
- 1 Egg
- Brown Sugar
- Puff Pastry
How to make our Baked Brie with Cranberry:
Take the puff pastry out of the freezer if you haven’t already and allow to soften. Pulling it out of the package and setting in open air will do this much quicker!
While the puff pastry is thawing, preheat the oven to 350 F.

Next, once the puff pastry is soft, sprinkle a little flour onto a clean counter top and slightly roll out the dough. You are only expanding the dough by about 25% from its original size.
After that, place half of your cranberry sauce on the middle of the puff pastry and spread about the diameter of your brie.

Place your brie round directly in the middle, on top of the sauce. (I quickly cut the brie rind off the top and bottom to make it more melty but you definitely can skip that step!)
Place the remaining cranberry sauce on top of the brie and spread evenly.
Wrap the dough around the brie, alternating sides. It’s a simple step and one you can’t really mess up.

Next, quickly beat the egg in a small bowl. With a basting brush, spread the egg all over the exposed dough. Make sure you don’t allow it to pool at the bottom of the brie because that will make it super soggy which you won’t want.
Finally, sprinkle with the brown sugar evenly all over the top. Bake for 35 minutes.

Once you pull it out of the oven, transfer to your serving dish. Allow approximately 10 minutes for it to cool and set before serving.

Baked brie is something I didn’t discover until about three years ago… (insert gasps here). And now it is a full out food staple in our refrigerator. We have tried so many combinations that I’ve lost count. I’m so glad I was in a pinch and out of some of our favorite jams that I had to turn to cranberry sauce. I can’t believe I didn’t think to do it sooner! Enjoy friends!
