Is taco seasoning different than fajita seasoning?
Yes it is, but there is not a significant difference. Taco seasoning contains a higher amount of chili powder, as well as red pepper flakes and oregano. Those flavors contribute to taco seasoning having a little more of a kick. Fajita seasoning is more subtle in flavor where the spices aren’t so robust. When in a pinch, you can definitely interchange the two.

- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Taco seasoning is something we use frequently. I will take this recipe and double or triple it sometimes so I always have it on hand. Simple Homemade Taco Seasoning
Ingredients
- 2TBS Chili Powder
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
