Summertime in Florida is HOT! This Pineapple Cool Whip Dessert is the perfect treat to cool you down and fill you up! You are only 2 ingredients away from satisfying your sweet tooth!
A few years ago, this because a lunchbox staple for my kids. I would make this ahead of time and freeze it. When I packed their lunch in the morning it doubled as an ice pack and was defrosted enough by lunchtime to make the perfect dessert!
Can I make my own whipped cream?
Absolutely! Typically, homemade whipped cream has a little less sugar than Cool Whip does, so if you would prefer to make your own, you definitely can! You can also use any of the Cool Whip varieties if you would like to make it healthier than the original!
Can I use fresh pineapple?
You can definitely use fresh pineapple, but we find that using canned makes the best version of this recipe. We look for the crushed pineapple that is in its own juice, not in syrup. We do love fresh chunks of pineapple to garnish this with!
