Who doesn’t love just a little something sweet for dessert?!?! These Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Bites are the perfect thing to satisfy your after dinner sweet tooth!
One of my favorite grab and go snacks are KIND bars. They are delicious, healthy and gives me just the right amount of sweet without getting completely crazy! After I threw these together one afternoon, I took a bite and realized the reason why I love these so much is because it reminds me so much of the delicious bars I keep in my pantry. By using the Nestle Toll House Simply Delicious Dark Chocolate Morsels, these bites are dairy free and use minimal ingredients! The best part of these is I hide them in my garage fridge so my family can’t find them! 🙂
Is Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt healthy?
Dark chocolate is definitely known for its health benefits. Studies have shown that it is high in vitamins and minerals, full of antioxidants, and can even lower blood pressure! Sea salt also contains minerals that are good for you such as iron, calcium, and potassium.
Are dark chocolate and semi sweet chocolate the same thing?
Dark chocolate is classified as having 35% or more cacao. It typically has very little sugar or sweetener. Semi sweet chocolate usually has about 50% sugar mixed with the chocolate, so it is sweeter but not as sweet as milk chocolate. If you prefer to use semi sweet morsels for this recipe, that is perfectly fine!
Ingredients for Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Bites

- Assorted Mixed Nuts
- Craisins
- Sea Salt
How to make Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Bites
Pour chocolate chips in a glass or microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Continue to heat in 15 second increments until melted. Be careful not to overheat! Chocolate will start to dry out and harden if you cook for too long.
Place a piece of waxed paper on a baking sheet. With a large spoon, scoop spoonfuls of melted chocolate and pour them onto the waxed paper into 1-1.5″ circles.
Spread nuts and craisins on top of melted chocolate! You may need to work quickly, the chocolate may start to harden. I usually make a row of chocolate circles and then do the toppings and repeat until finished! Sprinkle with sea salt.
Once all of your bites have been made, place baking sheet in the freezer for 15 minutes to harden. Enjoy and store any remaining in the refrigerator for up to one week! You will want to leave them in the refrigerator until you are ready to eat because otherwise the chocolate will soften and melt!
I love how these are a perfect little snack when you are really craving something sweet but don’t want to go overboard! These are quick and easy to make and store to snack on all week long! If you are like me most nights I find myself saying “I want a little something but I don’t know what…” this is the perfect treat! Enjoy!
