BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos

Simple, delicious and only 4 ingredients! If there is one meal that we can honestly say our whole family never gets tired of, it would be BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos! Anytime you can call something a taco, it is already a win in my book. This is almost always our families “go-to” for taco Tuesdays! A huge plus is that they are made in less than 10 minutes, which is a life-saver when we are running to all of our activities!

There is a local barbecue restaurant near where we live that inspired us to come up with this delicious recipe. Every Tuesday, they offer BBQ tacos. These tacos sell out super fast and when they are gone, you have to wait an entire week to try your luck again! Eating out every Tuesday was getting expensive and we realized we had a few ingredients we’d love to add to make it uniquely “us”. (Insert our homemade coleslaw here!) These are simple for a weeknight dinner and keep the kiddos coming back for seconds πŸ™‚

What are the best toppings for pulled pork tacos?

We love to dress our pork taco just like a BBQ sandwich: cole slaw, BBQ sauce and pork! My husband even likes to add baked beans to his! You could definitely go the traditional route with these tacos and use lettuce, tomato, cheese, salsa and sour cream!

I don’t care for vinegar based BBQ sauce, can I use something else?

Yes!  The best part of this meat is you can add any sauce you would like!  Growing up in Virginia and living in North Carolina for many years has made vinegar based sauce our personal favorite!

  • 2 lb. Unsauced Pulled pork (we love this quick and easy option!)
  • 1/2-3/4 cup BBQ Sauce of your choice
  • 2 cups Cole Slaw
  • 1/2 cup BBQ Mayo
  • 1 package Flour tortillas

How to make our BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos:

First, cook pulled pork according to package instructions. Once the pork is cooked, shred and add your favorite BBQ sauce. Stir.

Next, lay a flour tortilla on a plate and spread a thin layer of BBQ Mayo on tortilla. Then, add desired amount of pulled pork and cole slaw. Serve with chips, french fries or baked beans. Enjoy!
