Mini Chicken Biscuits

It never fails. Everytime I am craving my FAVORITE fast food breakfast, I remember that it is Sunday…which sadly means they are closed! With only 4 ingredients, these Mini Chicken Biscuits are so close to the real thing, you wouldn’t know they were made at home!

My family is OBSESSED with these little bites. On the weekends, if we give the kids the choice to go out for breakfast, it is a unanimous vote to swing through the drive thru and pick up Chick Fil A Chicken Minis. I honestly don’t blame them, who can resist these buttery, sweet, tender miniature bites of deliciousness? I sure can’t! While strolling the aisles of Sam’s Club one day and came across these nuggets – I had an idea…I knew I could recreate these at home and the kids wouldn’t have a clue! I was right- we can now enjoy these miniature chicken biscuits any day of the week!

What are Chicken Minis?

Chicken Minis are delicious miniature chicken biscuits from one of our favorites, Chick Fil A. These sweet and savory bites are a tasty breakfast food for both kids and adults.

Do I have to use the chicken nuggets from Sam’s Club?

While it is certainly not a requirement to use these specific nuggets, we think that these will give you the closest copycat version of the minis that we have found! If you can’t find these, or choose to use another brand, look for nuggets that describe themselves as southern or southern style!

Can I use store bought honey butter?

Absolutely! To be honest, that is exactly what I normally do, but when I decided to make these, the store was all out of the pre-made variety, so I decided to whip up some of my own- it was too easy!

How to make our Mini Chicken Biscuits:

Preheat oven to 300F. Lightly cover frozen rolls with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Place chicken nuggets on a baking sheet and once the rolls have been in the oven for the first 15 minutes, add nuggets and continue to bake both on center rack for an additional 15 minutes. Be sure to turn chicken over halfway through.

Yeast rolls, chicken nuggets and a bowl of melted butter on a table

While the rolls and chicken are cooking, make the honey butter mixture if you are making your own. If you bought premade honey butter, scoop out 2-3 tablespoons and melt in a glass bowl.

Bottle of honey and bowl of butter

Place butter in a small glass bowl and microwave for 20-30 seconds until melted. Stir in honey and set aside. If you like yours a little sweeter, add a little extra honey…you can’t mess it up!

When the rolls and chicken are fully cooked, remove from oven. Turn pan of rolls upside down on a plate and slice in half.

Put bottom half of rolls back in baking tray and place a chicken nugget on each roll.

These biscuits are an easy and fun breakfast for the kids to make too! Instead of slicing the entire tray of rolls at once, we have them pull each roll out individually and create them one by one! You no longer have to worry about if your craving strikes you on a Sunday, you can keep all of these ingredients on hand and serve them whenever you like!

  • Although not homemade recipe, still a good store bought assemble at home save money recipe. For Costco shoppers you can get the Just Bare Chicken Nuggets. Also sold at Publix! just to give multi options for those without a Sams club membership.

    • Thanks for the insight on Costco. We don’t have one here πŸ™ I’ll update my post to include that! Thank you so much for commenting!
