Homemade Cucumber Vodka

We live in a fairly small town and it happens all too often that I go to the store for some specialty item and end up striking out on finding it. Some of our local shops are willing to order things they don’t carry but the wait time can be a few weeks! We decided to come up with our own tasty cucumber flavored vodka in the purest of forms…using JUST cucumber! No sugars, preservatives, nothing. You can marinate for anywhere from 24-72 hours… the longer the wait, the more intense the flavors.

Ingredients for Homemade Cucumber Vodka:

  • Tito’s Vodka (or your favorite vodka brand)
  • 1 cucumber, peeled
  • 1 sealable container

How to make our Vodka:

The first step to making our flavored vodka is to peel the cucumber. If you leave the skin on, the vodka will have a bitter flavor.

Next, de-seed if you want. You don’t have to because we will strain the vodka after the marinating is completed.

Roughly dice into small pieces and place inside your container. Pour the vodka over the cucumber pieces until full.

Place the top on the the bottle and store in a cool spot for 24-72 hours. The longer it sits, the more the flavor intensifies. We highly recommend letting the flavors come together for at least 24 hours to get the best effect out of the drink.

Once ready to drink, strain into a glass or a separate container for long-term storage. Enjoy!

Homemade Cucumber Vodka

I love breaking this out at a party or gathering. People seem to think I’m all fancy because I have this fresh, homemade flavored vodka. Little do they know that it took less than five minutes to make! It adds a refreshing twist to any cocktail or mixer you have on hand. Enjoy year round, but especially in the warmer months!
