I love halloween. There…. I said it. I love how excited all the kids get at the bus stop when they discuss what they are dressing up as. I love that my munchkins get to imagine they are a ninja or dinosaur for a night and dress the part. I enjoy the creativity of all these tiny humans that get to roam around our neighborhood streets and unabashedly ask for candy! And now I LOVE that I have an easy but simply delicious cocktail to sip while I walk from door to door for a few hours. I’ll be whipping up a batch of this for my bus stop friends so we can enjoy the evening just as much as the kiddos!
What is pumpkin spice made of?
Pumpkin pie spice is generally a blend of ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and sometimes allspice. It can also be used as a seasoning in general cooking. There are several variations on the shelf at your local grocer however most use a combinations of the ingredients above.
What is Bailey’s made of?
Baileys Irish Cream is cream-based liqueur – a blend of Irish whiskey and dairy cream – produced by Gilbeys of Ireland, and owned by Diageo. Bailey’s has a very interesting back story that can be found here! It says that a mistake of a little chocolate, vanilla, and burnt sugar turned into this liquor that is so well loved today!

So, who says that halloween has to be all about the kids? Ok – maybe its mostly about them and thats A-ok with me. But it’s also about sipping on a little “happy” of my own too. Enjoy this cocktail, maybe enjoy it with a batch of warm chili and enjoy the few hours you get before the sugar rush hits the kids from all the candy 😉
