What other alcohols can be paired with apple cider?
The answer to this is endless! There are a ton of great alcohols that can be paired with apple cider. Bourbon and whiskey are a great accent and so are sparkling wines, such as champagne, Prosecco, and Blanc de Blancs. White and red wines can also be paired with apple cider in conjunction with fresh, sliced fruit, to make a great fall drink to sip on.
What is the difference between apple cider and apple juice?
The apples in apple cider, typically, have been chopped, mashed, and pressed to extract their liquid. This liquid is then sometimes pasteurized before being bottled, sometimes not. The result is a cloudy, faint-brown colored drink thatβs flavor is both sweet and tart notes. Apple juice is very similar to cider except that is heated to 190Β°F and bottled hot in containers. The high temperature can causes changes in the raw cider that change the texture, flavor, and color. The result is the clear, amber drink you can find on store shelves. It frequently has preservatives such as potassium sorbate added, which slightly alter the flavor. It might also have a sweetener added to boost the apple taste. Apple juice has a longer shelf-life because of the preservatives.

How to make our Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria Recipe:
The first step is to make sure the red wine and sparkling apple cider are chilled! This drink is meant to be served cold and it won’t taste nearly as good if it gets watered down by ice! So place those bottles in the refrigerator until they are nice and chilled.
Next, in a large pitcher, add the ground cinnamon and sugar. Stir and really combine the two ingredients.
Next, add the either bottle (750ml) of red wine to the sugar mixture and give a really stir. Continue mixing until all of the sugar is dissolved.
Once the sugar is dissolved, slice all of the fruit. I chose cutting them into rounds, but it is completely up to the makes. Once the fruit is cut, add all but a few pieces of oranges so they can be used for a garnish.
Once fruit is add to the pitcher, slowly pour the sparkling apple cider in. Light stir.
Serve and enjoy!
