A 7 layer dip is not necessarily a new concept. But HOW I made it is! This baby is jammed packed with a delicious blend of flavors that are great at any gathering you have. The proportion of each ingredients is perfect for these little individual app’s, and I have NO doubt that leftovers with be a problem. These provide an awesome option for pleasing guest without make them stick around the app table too long!

Can I substitute out the mayo?

I get this question a lot. There are so many people that aren’t big mayonnaise fans. I would recommend using plan greek yogurt in it’s place. The taco seasoning is the main flavor, so you won’t taste a big difference. The consistency will stay the same, and combined with all the other flavors, it’ll still be delicious. Bonus points: you get extra protein and less fat!

How long will 7 layer dip last after being made?

If kept covered tightly with plastic wrap, these Mini 7 Layer Dip Cups can last up to 5 days in the refrigerator. The largest factor in this recipe is the guacamole. It tends to turn brown the longer it is exposed to oxygen. That is why it is layered second: the mayonnaise mixture tops it completely to provide a type of ‘seal’. These are perfect to make ahead of time!
