As I was walking the produce section at the grocery store the other day, I saw this bag of coleslaw. There were a ton left and I thought “Surely there is something that can be made with this cabbage that isn’t coleslaw!” And here we are…. I bought three bags that day; I added one to a salad and it was delicious, and it took two tries to get this recipe where I wanted it. Moral of the story: see beyond a label and get creative with the food thats out there! This dish is delicious and so simple and made possible by a large bag of coleslaw -ha!

What meats are keto-friendly?

There are a ton of keto-friendly meat options! Bacon, beef, lamb, pork, and bison. Great fish options are salmon, cod, and tuna. If you are following a strict keto diet, be sure you don’t eat too much meat. Too high of a protein intake can actually throw you out of ketosis and you don’t want that!

Is the garlic chili sauce spicy?

Yes! I compare this sauce with Sriracha: a little goes a long way. If you really like spicy things, you can’t add too much of the garlic chili sauce. It has a great combination of spice and garlic. It enhances so many Asian dishes. Sriracha is more of a hot sauce, where the spicy aspect of the garlic chili sauce is just one of the flavors of this condiment.
