I don’t know why, but I find I gravitate towards recipes that are simple more often than naught. Of course, they have to be delicious and something my family with enjoy. There are so many dips out there for you choose from when wanting a quick and easy appetizer. Let me tell you why to choose this one: its only 5️⃣ ingredients, made it one dip, thrown together in less than 5 minutes… and has bacon. I mean, why WOULDN’T you make this one??! 🤪
What is precooked bacon?
Precooked bacon is bacon that has already been cooked, and then is dehydrated. A lot of the moisture/water has been taken out. SO when you go to cook it, it just needs a quick 30-45 seconds in the microwave to be ready to eat. Honestly, if I am going to eat something with bacon IN it, I don’t mind using the pre-cooked stuff… its easy and still have good flavor. However, if i’m going to have a bacon on it’s own, it is definitely worth the time and effort cooking the thick, fresh stuff!

- Green Onions
- Cream Cheese
- Cheddar Cheese
How to make our Creamy Bacon Cheddar Dip:
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Next, heat the pre-cooked bacon in the microwave as the directions on the box suggest. Once cooked, give the bacon a rough chop and set aside.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine room temperature cream cheese, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, all the bacon, 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, and 1/3 cup of chopped green onions. Stir until fully combined.
Add the mixture to a greased, oven-safe baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes.
The dip will be nice and bubbly and the top will begin to brown slightly. Remove from the oven carefully. Serve with crackers, chips, veggies, or bread!

- 1 (8oz) Block of Cream Cheese, room temperature
- 3/4 Cup of Mayonnaise
- 1 1/4 Cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1/3 Cup Green Onions, diced
- 10 oz bacon, cooked and crumbled (8-10 slices)
